A corrupt police man, who loves taking bribes from drivers, spotted an oncoming car on a Sunday morning, on top speed.
He stood by the roadside and started waving at the oncoming vehicle, to stop instantly.
The driver of the Car was a Pastor. The Pastor was late for Church that day, and that was why he was on top speed.
When he parked over, this was what ensued between them,
‘Hey Mr Driver, why are you on top Speed early this Sunday morning? You know you’ve broken the nation’s law of overspending, right?
Pastor: ‘Sorry Mr Cop, ‘was late for Church; that was why I was overspending. Sorry sir.’
The policeman looks at his collar, and said, ‘’Are you a Pastor?’’
‘’Yes, Sir,’’ Pastor replied.
Then the policeman said again: ‘Yeah, you’re still under arrest for Overspending!’ ‘’Well, you can go, if slip up a 50$…you know what mean?’’
The Pastor became furious, and said immediately to the policeman, that he wouldn’t do that kind of thing. He was a Pastor, and doesn’t commit any wrong!
‘’No, I can’t do such a thing!’’ he shouted!
Now, the police man, who doesn’t go to Church, but had one favourite verse in his mind, looked over and said.
‘ What’s that on the your dashboard, Sir?’
Pastor: ‘My Bible, sir!’
He felt that the late pastor, was wasting time, and said to him immediately: ‘Let’s not waste time. Let’s make it simple this time for God also approves on this. Well, open the Bible to Matthew 5, verse 25.’
The Pastor, wandering, and looking furious for his time being more wasted, reached for his Bible from the dashboard, and opened to the said scripture of the policeman. Then he read slowly with a sad face.
‘‘Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison!’’
