Explaining This Proverb: Proverbs 11:24 KJB Version
“There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth;
and there is that withholdeth more than is meet,
but it tendeth to poverty.”
Proverbs 11:24 KJB
Explaining The Solomonic Proverb:
Often times, we hear of people giving their tithes and sewing seeds in the house of God, and receiving a 70-fold, a 80-fold, and a 100-fold back, whereas others sit in their pews and are like, ‘‘These people are just wasting their money,’’ when they initially saw them giving the money.
We often (or most people) think we are throwing our monies away when we are being kind or generous to a person or to a worthy cause.
Don’t be stingy; it is not always advisable or good to withhold back, or to withhold too much. The Lord said to me that ‘‘That philosophy doesn’t always make you a wise person.’’ That is because, you could actually be losing much that may be coming back to you’
In fact, He had gone ahead to state that, ‘‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’’ A lot of good things or blessings happens to the generous person, which wouldn’t happen to the stingy man or woman. The Bible stated: give and it shall come back to you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, shall men give back into your bosom, should you give out. (Therefore, this will all happen to the generous person, which wouldn’t happen to the one who is afraid to be generous).
Honestly, this same philosophy applies to how we conduct our businesses. It is highly possible, that practically speaking, if we withhold too much from investing, we may end up with too little profits; on the other hand, the man who wisely scatters abroad by way of multiple investments, has got a greater chance of harvesting more profits.
However, this could also be risky. Nonetheless, the rule is such that, the more you give out, the more you’ll receive back.
Thank You.
